Maria… oh Charles… you´re so sweet.
My dad has one too.
We call her Truus.
And yell at her.
seutendeern replied to your post: Or in other words, Theo and Violet are going to…
not my granny…it did not help her at all :( So personally, I HATE hip replacement when it is not absouletly necessary
Sorry to hear that :( *hug* A few people around me recently had a hip replacement operation. Granted, one of them was a lot younger (late fifties) but they all were pain-fee and moved easier afterwards.
But there are always exeptions… my landlord had heart-surgery two years ago. He´d be fine, they told him. He´d feel so much better.
Instead he caught every infection imaginable and hasn´t been the same since.
So, from my perspective… Charles and Elsie are driving around normal now…
While Elsie has to look left first instead of right first…
I already have a headache.
This is why I don´t have a driver´s license.
Or in other words, Theo and Violet are going to get into all kinds of trouble for something they´re not even doing yet?
Hmmm… nice Robert.
Charles and Elsie are lovely and adorable all over place.
I´ve been actually googling what could be wrong with Violet. Apart from that, she needs that hip replacement surgery asap. From what I´ve seen around me, people feel 100% better afterwards.
About the whole fanfiction.net hoopla…
I have my current ff.net account since 2003 (and there´s an even older one swimming around there somewhere) and have been part of other fandoms before. The rules and guidelines of ff.net have been a thorn in the side so to speak for as long as I can remember.
They´ve always placed restrictions regarding the use of song lyrics (banning the sonfic-genre entirely), MA or NC-17 rating, or violent or sexual explicit content. Apart from that they try to enforce a certain standard by prohibiting net-speak, long author´s notes, replying to individual reviews inside the story (that´s when the PM-system was born) etc.
That moment when Elinor finds out that Edward is not married and she’s so happy that she freaks the fuck out.
BEST SCENE IN THE MOVIE.
^^^ yes
You´ve all seen The Vicar of Dibley parody of this, haven´t you?
The RP´s are lovely… all of them. So much cuteness and anxiety and love.
I think this holiday is going to be really good for Charles and Elsie in many ways. (She´ll get a gorgeous tan and he´ll be all over her, never mind any stage fright)
And Theo is being so adorable and convincing that Violet will soon get riid of all her doubts. (And tell Robert he can very well mind his own affairs)
Now I´m going to gather up the cat and off to bed!
Aww…
Both drunk!Charles and hung-over!Charles are acting like a toddler.
I wonder how Theo is faring…
Perhaps after nurse-duty, Violet and Elsie can go out and have tequilla shots together. They´ll have earned it by then. ;)
Anonymous asked: Out of all your headcanons for Charles and Elsie which do you wish for the most?
I adore the unrequited love-aspect of it. It might not be completely in character (Elsie for one wouldn´t have pined away for him for twenty years, I think) but let´s pretend they would…
All the longing glances and little actions and gestures with a layered meaning. The ´I´m glad she´s so close to me, but I wish she were so much closer´
I think I could live quite happily through another season like season two with so many little hints.
- `Don´t tell me you´ll miss me.´
´I will, Mr Carson. Very much.´
- ´She gave me a kiss in full payment.´
´Then she got the better bargain.´
I love all the unspoken feeling.
